Beta Healthcare specializes in the manufacturing, sales and marketing of a diverse range of pharmaceutical products, including prescription medicines, over the counter (OTC) products and branded generics. Beta Healthcare’s modern production capabilities encompass the manufacture of oral solids (tablets, capsules, powders, oral rehydration salts), oral liquids and external liquids. This versatile production capacity supports the company’s broad portfolio and ability to meet the varied healthcare needs of its customers / patients.

As part of the Aspen Group, Beta Healthcare has acquired an impressive range of established products with significant brand equity, enhancing its product offering and market presence. These acquisitions include well known brands such as Hedex, Cofta, Decavit Plus, Cafenol, Ashton & Parsons from GlaxoSmithKline (GSK), and Diprivan, Marcaine, Xylocaine, and Xyloproct from AstraZeneca. This strategic acquisition of products has strengthened Beta Healthcare’s therapeutic portfolio and expanded its reach into multiple markets across Sub-Saharan Africa.

Dr. Robert Nyatangi is an accomplished Pharmacist with over 15 years experience in the Pharmaceutical Manufacturing industry. Robert is an alumni of Dr. MGR Medical University, India, where he attained a bachelor’s degree in pharmacy. Robert joined Aspen Sub Saharan Africa (Beta Healthcare International ltd, Kenya) in July 2013 and has since served in various capacities within the technical division. Robert is currently the Manager, Pharmacovigilance and Regulatory Affairs at Beta Healthcare International ltd and also sits at the board, Kenya, as a non-executive director.

Since his joining Aspen’s Sub Saharan Business Units, Bernhardt has played a pivotal role in shaping effective governance strategies and fostering transparency and accountability that has seen successful changes to the operations of Aspen’s Sub Saharan Africa entities (Aspen SSA). Due to his exemplary performamce, Bernhardt has risen to the rank of Chief Executive Officer for the Aspen’s Entities in the Subsaharan region – (CEO – Aspen SSA). Since his Joing Beta Healthcare International Ltd – an Aspen’s subsidiary, Chirag has risen over the ranks and now Heads the Technical Department in his capacity as the General Manager – Technical (Tanzania & Ghana) for Aspen’s Business Units: Shelys Pharmaceuticals in Tanzania, & Kama Industries Ltd – in Ghana within SSA region.

Asaad Faruqui is a highly accomplished Supply Chain professional with over 15 years of cross-regional experience including Southern Africa & Asia with leading multinationals including, Reckitt Benckiser (Reckitt) and Procter & Gamble. Asaad has led end to end supply chain operations for eight Southern African countries & Pakistan, managing a multi-million dollar budget and overseeing P&L delivery. Asaad is experienced in transforming supply chain models, forecast accuracy, deploying digital tools like Kinaxis and streamlining S&OP processes across Health and Hygiene business units. His expertise includes demand planning, inventory optimization, warehouse and transportation operations, financial planning and cost savings.
